Merry Christmas!

We're not ashamed to wish you a Merry Christmas from all of us in the New Journey Qt! Christmas is that most wonderful time of year when we have the "Honor" of praising our Lord for what he has done for us!

Yes, everything else is nice, the trees, Santa and all of that, but the most important thing and the "Reason for the Season" is Jesus Christ. This same Jesus who is alive today came to Earth over 2000 years ago as a babe..and who later grew up to give his life for you and me that we might have "Eternal Life" by & through his shed blood! Because of his sacrifice, we now have the way to Heaven if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior!

What better Christmas gift could we give someone than to lead them to Jesus this Christmas season...heaven's bells will be ringing and the angels will be rejoicing! Now thats the kind of Christmas carol I like to hear...

We wish each and everyone a safe, prosperous and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Yours in Christ,

Bill Warren

New Journey Qt. Adds Facebook

Wow...we really must be in the 21st century for sure now! Several young folks have been showing me about this new thing called "Facebook" and it really looked neat. So guess what? We've added facebook to our regular website and blog for easy & quick news on the group.

Might I ask a favor of you? Would you mind to click on the facebook badge to the left of this post and then click on the "Become a Fan" link on our facebook page? Its just another way that New Journey Qt. can keep you updated!

Thanks and may God richly bless you!

Sincerely,

A Patriotic Bunch

Now there is a real "Patriotic" group of people if I must say so! Actually, this is a picture taken of the group while performing at an outdoor theater in Maggie Valley this summer and I forgot to post it!

The group had a great time while in Maggie Valley and loved the cool climate! Most importantly of all, the Lord touched hearts and thats what we treasure most!

Its been a fun summer, but even now in the evenings, I can tell fall is on its way...isn't it great how God made the seasons? He's an awesome God...I'm sure glad he's in control of things aren't you?

I hope before the year is thru, we will see you on the concert trail somewhere...keep checking our website concert calendar and come out when we're in your area...lets worship together!

Busy, Busy

Its been a very busy couple of weeks for the New Journey Quartet! This past weekend we were in Salem, NC for a concert at Nowlings Chapel Freewill Baptist and then onto Mt. View Baptist in Collettsville, NC on Sunday morning. Both churches treated us extra well and boy could they ever cook! Ole' Catfish (Mike Puett) the bass player almost hurt himself eating so much and we're praying for his recovery...ha,ha...I believe he'll be alright, nothing a box of rolaids won't cure!

God sure has been awesome this summer season and its hard to believe that we're almost into fall! By the looks of things, with the leafs, it will not be long! I truly believe God is sending his son Jesus to come for us real soon...the time won't be long. All of us in New Journey wish to be busy doing "His" work when he comes. We take the "Great Commission" very seriously and are thankful for the musical ministry God has entrusted to us in evangelizing. Keep us in your prayers and hopefully we'll be in your area real soon...come out and worship with us!

God Bless,

Beautiful Day in The Mountains!

Needless to say, this picture of the chapel at Crossnore Children's Home, Crossnore-NC says it all! New Journey had a beautiful day singing in the Spruce Pine-Crossnore Area for an all day singing. We started out early this morning at First Freewill Baptist Church of Spruce Pine and even before we got started, you could just feel the Holy Spirit's presence in this place. Pastor Ralph and congregation were very lively and we played, sang & preached for nearly two hours...it was great! Then to top it all off, they fed us the biggest bunch of homemade cooking(it was their homecoming) and let me tell you, these people can really cook fried chicken and chicken and dumplins...it was awesome!

When we got done there, we took a short drive over the mountain to perform at the most beautiful church that featured Frescoe Painting at the Crossnore Children's Home. These children were lively and excited and it got us old timers fired up as well! What a great day the Lord blessed us with! Keep praying for us, the Lord continues to open new doors in different venues for our group...its an exciting time!

'Til Next Time...May God Bless,

Harrisburg Baptist Church - Nice Folks!

Just got in from another good concert with our friends at Harrisburg Baptist Church of Lenoir. These folks are always so nice to us and go out of their way to make us feel at home.

We missed Rita & Phillip tonight as they were on vacation, so I got to do triple duty as soundman, alto singer and my normal stuff...but I'm not complaining, God's been kind to me and I'm just grateful that he gives me the opportunity like this to serve him.

When Angie sang Redeemer, the altar started filling up and that always gives us a great feeling of accomplishment....it is just like the Lord saying, you've done what I sent you guys to do!

The crowd seemed to like our two new songs this evening as well. We added "God Bless the USA" of Lee Greenwood fame, especially since its the 4th of July week coming up and we also added a very up tempo classic called "Temporary Home" that really grooves with the beat!

God continues to bless us and has been so good....we're really looking forward to going to Maggie Valley in 2 weeks to perform at Pride Resort and Pride Church. Angie & I stopped by there yesterday on our way thru the area and the resort is gorgeous...can't wait to go!

Thats all for now and I wish each of you a happy 4th of July week!

The New Journey Quartet & Chicken and Dumplings

We had a great time at Bethel Baptist Church of Marion, NC today! Rev. Jimmy Upton and his congregation really treated us nice and the Lord of course was there during our concert and Brother Jim's preaching!

If you're ever in the Marion, NC area, let me say, stop by Bethel Baptist for a service! What an awesome church and man can these people cook!

I've never seen our bunch eat so much and I learned today that there must be a hundred different ways to fix chicken (our fav)! Mike "Catfish" Puett almost killed himself eating chicken 'n' dumplings....now thats the way to go isn't it? My wife and the rest of the band did our fair amount of damage to the dumplin' section as well....gee, kinda makes you think that there will be a dumplin section at the great banquet in heaven one day!

I hope everyone is planning for a great summer...we in New Journey Quartet certainly are and we're busier than ever! The Lord just keeps sending people our way for bookings are we're certainly grateful to be used for "HIM"!

'Til next time,

The Lord Does It Again!

Just got in from a concert today at Sweetwater Baptist Church of Hickory, NC. Pastor Ronald Johnson and the congregation were so nice to all of us in New Journey Qt. and as always, thanks go to them for having us back.

The big news about today is that the devil lost another one when a young lady came to the altar during our invitation and gave her heart and life to the Lord and got saved!!! Nothing thrills our heart more than to see someone saved during one of our concerts...hey, thats what we do it for!

I ask you to be in prayer for this young lady as she begins her Christian walk and that the Lord will always lead her. I also ask for your continued prayers for our ministry as the summer season is heating up and it looks like a full season of concerts....we'd love to see you at one!

Thats all for now....may God richly bless you and your family!

Fun Time At Dove Broadcasting

Well, needless to say, if you watched this video, you know we had a barrell of fun on our way to performing on TBN affiliate program "Niteline" by Dove Broadcasting in Greenville, SC.

We got to Greenville a little early so we had time to stop at a huge music store while the girl's shopped a bit. After all that, Mikey...our bass player decided it was time to eat, so you can see what happened to him on the video...its a riot!

I hope many of you got to watch the program...it was great! We learned about biblical health principles as well as getting to perform.

The Holy Spirit was definitely there and as always, the Dove Broadcast crew made us very comfortable and we felt right at home!

Thats all for now...'til next time...may God richly bless you!

Sincerely,

Bill Warren

Great Day At Covenant Baptist

What a great day its been! We had a wonderful service and concert at our home church, "Covenant Baptist" of Granite Falls, NC this morning. Thanks pastor David for having us at "home"...it was nice!

It was great to see people following the call of the Holy Spirit and seeing the altar fill up with souls getting down to business with God! It truly touched my heart...to see obedience like this!

Tommorrow is going to be a busy day for NJQ as well. We're leaving in the afternoon to drive down to Greenville, SC to make an appearance on the Dove Broadcast Network (an Affiliate of Trinity Broadcasting). The folks there always treat us so fine and its a great blessing to be able to share our ministry over such a large audience of North & South Carolina and Lord only knows where else.

Pray for us that we have a safe journey as we'll be taking our new van God blessed us with for this trip. We're really excited to be making our first, full blown trip in it and can't wait to finally all get to travel together as one!

Enough for now, I've got to turn in for the evening. May God Bless you and we hope to see you at a New Journey Concert real soon!

Thanks,

Bill Warren

Watch The New Journey Quartet on TBN

Hi Friends:

If you happen to live in South Carolina or the western part of North Carolina, be sure to tune in this monday night March 23rd at 8pm to the Dove Broadcast Network's Program "Niteline" (a Trinity Broadcast Network Affiliate". We will be performing live and doing many new songs that we've not yet introduced on our live concerts.

The folks at Dove Broadcasting go out of their way to make us feel at home and we truly feel blessed to have been asked to perform for God's glory on their program.

I believe in South Carolina its cable channel 16 and it might be different in North Carolina, you'll have to check with your local cable service, but I sure hope you can join us for this two hour program!

We're also performing at our home church on Sunday, March 22nd at 11am in Granite Falls, NC at Covenant Baptist Church. If you are in the area, stop by for a hand raising, foot patting, praise the Lord good time...we'd love to see you! Until then....

God Does It Again!

God is good all the time! His grace and favor just continue to amaze me. This week, he supplied New Journey with a much needed 15 passenger chevy van almost like new and boy, can we put that to good use!

The group has been fervently praying for a van for sometime to ease our traveling and so we also enjoy each other's company instead of looking like a rag tag group of vehicles going down the highway...this sure makes things much easier. Now we can pull our trailer and show up in one vehicle and not have to take half a church's parking lot...he,he.

Yes friends, God has really been good to New Journey...he's sent us into several new areas and hooked us up with a promoter who only wants to expand our ministry. Pray for us as we hope to come to your area really soon in our new van! Remember, we go where invited.....

God Bless,

Another Year - Let The Concerts Begin!

Sorry to take so long to have posted anything new, but after having a bad virus for the last 3 weeks...I've just not been able to.  However, all is well and myself along with several members of the group who've been sick are feeling much better!  We're really excited about the prospects for ministry in 2009!  The Lord has already opened several new doors for us in new areas to spread God's word in song.

As a friend of mine in the ministry often says, "You can have as much of God as you want" and trust...I'll take all I can get.   It just seems the more you do for him, the more he blesses and the more opportunities he gives to those who are ready and willing.

New Journey has many exciting things happening in 2009...a new video, a new recording project on the way and hopefully, we'll be coming to an area near you!  We hope to see you on the concert trail this year....remember, we go where we're invited and if you'd like to host us for a concert, give me a call at 828-726-1143.
